Caring for your Little Huggins Clothing

At Little Huggins, we carefully select high-quality fabrics for all of our products, including a blend of cottons and synthetic materials (mainly polyester). Each fabric is chosen for its durability, comfort, and quality.

Washing & Drying:
Most of our fabrics are machine washable, but some garments may benefit from handwashing. Please refer to the care label attached to each item for specific washing instructions.

For optimal care, we recommend air-drying your clothes, but many fabrics today can be tumble dried effectively on a low heat setting. To preserve the longevity of your items, avoid overheating or over-drying, as this can cause wear and may shorten the lifespan of the garment.

If necessary, use a medium heat iron to smooth out wrinkles, and steam gently for more delicate areas.

Fabric Information:
We use a variety of fabrics in our designs, each with its own unique characteristics. The following provides an overview of the most common materials used in our products (this list may be updated from time to time):

  • Cotton: A natural fabric made from the fibres of the cotton plant. Cotton is soft, breathable, durable, and biodegradable, making it a popular and eco-friendly choice.
  • Poly/Cotton Blend: A mix of natural cotton and synthetic polyester fibres, offering the durability and softness of both materials. This blend is commonly used for added strength, ease of care, and comfort.
  • Polyester: A synthetic fabric made from polyethylene terephthalate (PET). Known for its durability, resistance to shrinking, stretching, and wrinkling, polyester is easy to maintain. While it is heat-resistant and self-extinguishing, please keep all fabrics away from open flames. Polyester is typically non-biodegradable.
  • Polyester Polar Fleece: A soft, insulating, and lightweight fabric that provides warmth while remaining comfortable to wear. It’s durable and quick drying.
  • Other Fabrics: Occasionally, we use other fabrics such as wool, linen, viscose, or elastane in our designs. These materials may be blended to enhance texture, comfort, or support.

By following these care instructions, you can ensure that your Little Huggins clothing stays in great condition and continues to provide comfort and style for your child.
